Olivia is a PhD candidate in Innovation Design Engineering at the Royal College of Art. Her work explores how interactive visualisation may be used to make sense of cultural heritage data (digitised museum, library and archive collections). During her PhD, Olivia interned at Microsoft Research Cambridge in the Human Experience & Design Group and completed a Smithsonian Fellowship at the Cooper Hewitt Design Museum in New York City.

 

Olivia’s background is strongly multi-disciplinary; she holds a BA in Natural Sciences and an MSci in History and Philosophy of Science from the University of Cambridge and has previously worked as a designer/developer in London.
